Before taking your DPS-authorized road test at A Addison Driving School, you must bring the following official documents based on your age group. These requirements are set by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and help ensure you’re fully eligible to take the Texas driving test.

✅ Required Documents for Adult & Young Adult Road Test (Ages 18–24)

If you are 18 to 24 years old, please bring the following:

1. A valid Texas learner’s permit with your photo.

2. Impact Texas Young Drivers (ITYD) certificate, dated within the last 90 days.

3. Adult Driver Education Certificate (ADE-1317) – proof of completion of the 6-hour adult driving course.

4. Valid vehicle insurance (must be current).

5. Front and rear license plates on the testing vehicle.
